I posted earlier about trying to learn how to release a conibear trap. From cars to coyotes to poisons, there are too many ways to end up heartbroken. They make good species-specific raccoon traps that have zero by catch of other animals, and muskrat and mink are water animals.

Lean a stick on each side of the box in order to deter coons from messing with the springs and potentially pulling your trap out of the box.
